Safely Back Home (“we,” “us,” or “the Program”) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to protecting the privacy of the families we serve and the visitors to our website.

Information we collect

When you enroll a loved one in the Safely Back Home program, we collect:

• A recent photo of the enrolled individual
• Caregiver names and contact information
• Medical conditions and required medications
• Locations the individual is likely to wander
• Communication and calming notes for first responders

When you use our website we may also collect standard web log data (IP address, browser, pages visited) for security and analytics.

How we use your information

Enrollment information is used solely to enable law enforcement and authorized first responders to safely identify and return a wandering individual to their family. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.

Who can access enrollment data

Enrollment records live in a privacy-protected profile associated with a Safely Back Home ID number. Records are shared only with the responding officer during an active rescue, or with the partner police department administering your local program.

Data retention
