Safely Back Home is committed to making our website and program accessible to as many people as possible — including those using assistive technologies.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. This site is designed and built with the following in mind:

  • Semantic HTML structure and a single main landmark per page
  • Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and interactive elements
  • Visible focus indicators and a “skip to content” link
  • Sufficient color contrast for body text and interactive controls
  • Alt text on informative images and appropriate labels on form fields
  • Respect for the user's reduced-motion preferences

Known limitations

Third-party embeds (such as YouTube videos or external donation processors) may not fully match our accessibility standards. We work with our partners to close those gaps when we can.
